24-Hour Play Festival: Season 54

Get ready for one of the most thrilling nights of theatre at South Baldwin Community Theatre. The 24-Hour Play Festival returns this June, and you do not want to miss the beautiful chaos of watching brand-new plays come to life in a single day.

How It Works

Friday, June 19 at 6:30 PM, the adventure begins with auditions. This is where we assemble the teams, deciding which playwrights, directors, and actors will work together, along with the props each team will use as creative inspiration.

Once auditions wrap, the playwrights get to work. They stay up all night, fueled by coffee and adrenaline, crafting original 10-minute plays from scratch.

Saturday morning, the actors arrive bright and early. Directors receive their freshly written scripts, casts gather, and the race is on. The teams have just one day to rehearse, block, memorize, and polish their plays for the stage.

Saturday, June 20 at 7:30 PM, the curtain rises. You get to watch these brand-new stories performed live, knowing the ink is barely dry on the pages.

Tickets are just $5 at the door. Tickets are not sold online for this event, so plan to arrive early and grab your seat.
